I started this trip off at 5:45am. First stop was at the Bait Barn, didnt need tackle just wanted some coffee and cigs. But I bought some tackle anyways. I got some bang crawlscent and some watermelon pepper jiggs. So i got out of there before I spent anymore money. So I pull up to launch ramp and this is the first thing I see the fuckin flyin V. SON !

And i new i had the power of Emillio Escavez with me. So it looks like a cool lake right ? Davey Boy got on a good crank bait bite out here last summer. I hoped histotry would repeat itself or else i just drove 2 and a half hours to get skunked (not nice) ……….. So im out there for 15 min and i havent gotten bit yet, and im thinkin fuckin amilio, shit !! you let me down. So i set my rod down to lite a ciggarette and I get a little thump. S i waited for him to take off but he never did, that fish was messin with me for a good 5 minutes until I pulled out my DIRTY D!! (dropshot) He could not resist the tempetion of the MII was killing him. Fist victim but not the last.

So i keep throwing the jigg, fuckers are only hittin and quitin me. And I dont want to throw the dropshot all day. And thats when i remembered Matt telling me “Smallies love it when you burn a Spinner up high in some waves, it drives them crazy”, he said to me. So i said what the heck, I’ll give it a whirl. First cast fish on, it was under a pound and he spit a CrawlArm on my lap, just to let me know he was thankfull that I was returning him to his home. So i bounced to other spots, and plucked some fish off of them, looked at the time and said to myself I gotta go. PLus there was about 15 jet skiers out on the water. But i wanted to visit where I caught the Balimic Bronze Back, So i take out a Speed Trap, cast it in the same exact spot and i catch a fish imediately.

Couldntget him in the leg lock, he was just floppin on the Pontoon and my lap. ( I need to get a net) Plus he was extra mad causehe got a good one to the eye.
