Turd Update!!

Tomcat – Blew it! Should have fished the tournament with Matt. They would be in 2nd for AOY for the Hook tourney circuit. Booze was more important. Hey, that’s why he is a Turd. Imma take your seat next year sucka!

Straps – Still living in Boston. He said it is cold and I am sure it’s COLD. He will send us an update when their lakes melt.

That is what is the fuck up. I am sure he will be fishing too but this necka is getting paid to shred, so shred on!

Jerbs - Well well well. The fucking Jerbs. He was the only one who had a chance to land in the 10 plus club again last year but blew it. Now he lives in AZ and never touches his pole. Just other man poles…..Just watch this. We still love you ass face.

That’s it. I might be fishing the WON Bass Pro/Am next weekend but that is up in the air. You will be seeing more tourney results from Matt and I in the coming year. Hopefully it’s another safe year and more fatties land in the boat. Who is getting the 10 plus this year???

The Rat has recently purchased a new Ranger.

Him and Tomcat have been fishing the Hook Line & Sinker tournaments. He has been doing pretty well too.

This weekend is the January event and yours truly will be replacing Tomcat as the back seater.

Long story short, hooked a fish on an old ass Lead spoon I got out of my neighbors old surf fishing boxes. The fish was 35 inches long so I am guessing any where from 16-18 pounds. It was fucking bad ass! Released her back into the ocean after a few pics so she could live to fight another day.

Thanks to Glenn from SJB and to my Dad for hooking up the equipment. Help keep the fishery alive and practice Catch and Release!

The Jerbs is outta here. He decided to head to Arizona to help some friends run a skateboard company called Bagarang. Yeah, like the term in the movie Hook where all the kids eat imaginary food and play imaginary games.

I am very excited for him and it opens the doors to the lakes out in AZ to the Turdz. Dependent on if we really want to go see him. Just kidding Jerbs, we are all going to miss your annoying ass sounds. Be sure you make it our here for the Striper Fest and for the prespawn at El Salto next year. We’ll be coming out soon so start learning those lakes. Hopefully, you’ll learn to fish something other than a jig!

Good times were had and fish were caught. The frog bite is on and Straps finally got his first frog fish. Remember when you got your first one? It’s fucking awesome.

Just like the dumb ass he is, Jerbs drives from lower lake to Lakeport with only 30.00 dollars of gas and then decides not to put more gas in the boat while we are 20 feet away from the Pit Stop. Well guess what, I was towing him in 1 hour later. IDIOT!!

WE’LL MISS YOU FUCKER!

Shit it was cold down there. Wind chill was no joke and boy was it blowin’. Day started off with a few bites on a rocky bank. Straps farmed a biggie right off the bat. I think he forgot how big the fish are in this lake. You gotta lay into them and let them know you aren’t fucking around. He then redeemed himself by landing a chunky 4.12 a few minutes later. I was hyped becasue I landed a few on the jig. Shit, it has been a long time since I had caught something that tugged. A long time!!

As the day went by, we didn’t have too much action until I got the bump that I was hoping for off of a main lake point in about 15 feet of water near a mud line. We forgot the net, so Straps had the responsibility of lippin that bitch over the side of the Liner and thankfully she made into my grasp. A hefty 8.2 filled with eggs with red lips. Thank you for making into my arms lover girl. Oh how it’s been so long since I have had the chance to caress the chunky greens of a largie. YEAH BABAY! The fish I needed to get the bug again.

It was fun and I was happy to be the 4th boat on Salto after it had been closed for a 4 months. Hey, I might not fish every week or all of the time, but this mother fucker is down for life, and if Salto is going to be closed for any extended time, I will be there on opening day.

Jose goes Pro for Enjoi!

The tallest Chicano in our crew just recently went pro for Enjoi Skateboards. I am so pleased to say that Joser has finally received the privilege that he has worked so hard to get. No head on collision is going to take that Mexican down. GOOD JOB and THE TURDZ ARE FUCKING HYPED FOR YOU MAN! Now lets get you on a celebrating pre-spawner! I am cannot wait to see his part in the upcoming Tiltmode Army video so properly titled “Bonus Round”. Shit is gonna be bangin’ son!

Pretty tight, his first pro check was for 1 dollar,. Big BUCKS BABY.

Jerbs, Josh and Matt, well they have been fishing a lot but do not update this site. Thanks losers. My plans are to go out this weekend and maybe try to hook some babies to help get me going again.

Last year, I told myself that I would repeat a 10 plus catch for 2008 and was able to do it. This year, I did not have the drive or desire to do so… but I have determined that if you really want it and if u put your time in, you can get it.You just have to throw the right lures at the right times and dedicate a lot of time on the water.

Don’t worry, we will have some stuff for you to look at on here as soon as the season gets moving a bit more.

Well sorry this post does not have all kinds of cool information about us catching lots of fish. Hopefully Jerbs or Mas can let us know how they have been doing.

Got laid off a week or so ago. kinda of a bummer, but I was planning for it. I worked for a recycling company and the metal market tanked big time. Now I get unemployment and can look for something awesome. I’ve already had a few interviews. I’m stoked cause I can fish,skate, drink, and chase chicks whenever I want to, while looking for a job of course.

I pulled mario mas and the rat on their toons around one day at anderson. It was fun fishin with the homies.

I snagged this fish in the tail in 30 ft. of water fishing a spoon. I could see the fish on the finder but they wouldn’t bite so I snagged that fucker. Put up a real good fight. Reminds me of Alaska. We used to sight fish 20+ lb king salmon. Your done for if you hook one in the tail .

I saw spiderman at the turd quarters after fishing.

I’ve been skating the park by my house after fishing alot lately. It’s awesome.

I saw spiderman later that day on a drunken bike ride home from the bars. Not awesome.

I got a new camera now so I’ll try to post some more shit, more often.

I know its foggy as hell out there but i know what i saw!!! As we get on the water i soon forget about the foot….. With in 15mins Mario and Jerbz have about 6 stripers in the boat…. Josh and I got in on some fish when we saw that we were on top of a school out side of little franks ….. we head out to this spot that reminds me of a pumpkin patch so thats what im guna call it…. Mario lands an 8 ripping throw some submerged trees we all thought it was a large mouth but we were wrong …Mario was definitely the star of the day…he caught three different species of fish striper, large mouth and nasty cat fish….. that thing was fuckin ugly!!!! jerbz was hella scared of it !!! i like the next pick better… i call it the cat and the hat…. look at Mario’s hat!!! see what i mean?  It ended up being one of my best  delta days yet…. i cant wait to do it again.. ]]> http://bassturdz.com/index.php/2008/11/30/black-friday/feed/ 0
